The Future of the Semiconductor Forum 2027, scheduled for 2–3 May 2027 at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, will explore how Saudi Arabia can translate its semiconductor ambitions into globally competitive capabilities. Under the theme “Semiconductors for AI Infrastructure and Quantum Technologies,” the Forum aims to connect national priorities with the technological advances shaping the industry’s future.
The program brings together strategic and technical perspectives, spanning global semiconductor roadmaps, applications in Saudi Arabia’s strategic industries, advanced materials and devices, chiplets, advanced packaging, and photonic integration. It also examines the semiconductor foundations of quantum technologies, intelligent data centers, and sovereign computing, alongside the talent and startups essential to building a sustainable national semiconductor ecosystem.
The Forum’s distinctive value lies in connecting frontier technologies with the practical challenge of building national capability—from talent development to chip realization, and from strategic ambition to industrial opportunity. By fostering dialogue across research, industry, and policy, it seeks to advance collaboration and identify pathways for Saudi Arabia to contribute to, and compete in, the next generation of semiconductor innovation.
